ABOUT.

For more than 21 years we’ve been doing what we do best - throwing soirées for happy couples, businesses, families and groups at Mantells Mt Eden (the original Mantells location) and Mantells Tāmaki Drive (our iconic seaside location).

Our two venues are completely different, but The Mantells Experience is one in the same: understated elegance, effortless coordination, people who truly care, and some of the best food you’ll ever taste.

Are you ready to make some memories?

 Meet Your Hosts.

When you book an event with Mantells, you’re looked after like family by Jane, Johnny and Tania.

And we say ‘like family’ for a reason…

Mantells Owners | Tania, Johnny & Jane

Jane & Johnny’s Mum & Dad, Annie & Colin Mantell, bought the Mt Eden venue in 1999. After a wedding for another sibling proved to be a big success, Johnny & his partner Tania (who ran a catering company together at the time) jumped on board. It wasn’t long before Jane returned home from traveling and also threw her hat in the ring.

Jane, Johnny & Tania had already worked together at the iconic French Café with Annie (who was the original founder in the early 80s), so it was only natural Mantells would also become a true family affair.

Today, our extended family includes two special people who’ve been with us from the start (Francois, our maitre de, and Mafi, our chef) as well as a wonderful team of kitchen & front of house staff (including James, Sean, Solomon & Alex - who’ve also been with us for more than a decade).

If we’ve learned anything from the thousands of weddings & events we’ve hosted over the years, it’s that people make an experience unforgettable. People turn a potentially stressful occasion into a seamless one. People are behind all of that ‘can’t-put-into-words’ magic.

With this in mind, our promise to you is simple:

From enquiry to farewell, you’re officially part of the Mantells family. And this family sure knows how to celebrate!
